This document discusses the creative choices made in filming a horror movie project. It analyzes how certain shots, lighting, music and other elements were used to fit genre conventions and set the proper mood. While most horror films do not show the killer until later, this film revealed the killer at the 2 minute mark for story purposes. Phone calls from the killer were also included as they have become a common convention, especially in the film Scream. Overall, the document examines how adhering to and challenging horror film norms impacted directorial decisions for this student project.
