Cargotec India deals in cargo handling equipment and software in India. It is part of Cargotec Finland and uses the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model to improve and communicate its supply chain management practices. SCOR is a process reference model that defines best practices for planning, sourcing, making, delivering, returning, and enabling products to flow from suppliers to customers. Cargotec India has used SCOR since 2010 to positively impact its operations.

2.  Cargotec India deals in cargohandling trade in India
 It falls under Cargotec Finland and under APEC region
for admin purpose
 It manufactures different types of cargo handling
machines and application software for seaports and
machines
 It is a company of three stakeholders- Hiab , MacGregor
and Kalmar Finland
 The software is looked after by NAVIS
 Holds 26% of lifting trade share worldwide in 126
countries

3.  Supply-chain operations reference-model (SCOR) is a
process reference model for supply chain management
 This model enables users to address, improve, and
communicate supply chain management practices within
and between all interested parties in the extended enterprise
 The supply-Chain Operations Reference is a management
tool, spanning from the supplier's supplier to the customer's
customer
 The model has been developed by the members of the
Council on a volunteer basis to describe the business
activities associated with all phases of satisfying a
customer's demand

5. SCOR is based on six distinct management
processes :
 Planning
 Sourcing
 Making
 Delivering
 Returning
 Enabling

6.  The SCOR model contains more than 150 key
indicators that measure the performance of
supply chain operations
 These performance metrics derive from the
experience and contribution of the Council
members
 As with the process modelling system, SCOR
metrics are organized in a hierarchical
structure

7.  The SCOR model defines a best practice as a
current, structured, proven and repeatable
method for making a positive impact on
desired operational results
 Cargotec India has been using this model since
2010 and has been experiencing
improvements in their daily operations
 Other stakeholders like Hiab, MacGregor and
Kalmar have also implemented this model
