Two part assy.
Close tolerances
between holes and
contours.

9. KJL Machined Parts
Clutch Shaft
This shaft is machined
from a steel forging.
Diameters are held to
.0005 tolerance and
concentricity within .001
over the entire length of
the part which is 10
inches end to end.
9
10. KJL Machined Parts
Receiver Assembly
This is a four piece assembly
consisting of two steel parts,
one brass, and one plastic
detail.
Sizes are held within .001 on
some operations.
All threads are check 100%
with certified go and no go
gages.
10
11. KJL Machined Parts
Air Cylinder
Turned from bar stock
holding a 16 micro finish.
The diameters are held to
a +/- .0005 and
concentricity to .001.
We designed a milling
fixture to achieve a 3/32
hole which is 4 inches
deep where there is only a
.015 thick wall.
11
12. KJL Machined Parts
Collet
This part is turned in a flip
operation creating a complete
turned part within one cycle.
The diameters and
concentricity are maintained
within .001 and a 16 micro
finish in designated areas.
The milling operation is
performed on a fourth axis
indexer, engraving the part
number, drilling holes and
saws the part into six sections.
