Kishore Kumar was a legendary Indian playback singer, actor, composer, lyricist, director, producer and screenwriter. Born in 1929 in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, he came from a Bengali family and pursued music and acting, following his brothers into the Hindi film industry in Mumbai. Kishore Kumar developed a unique yodeling style and could transform his voice to suit different actors and scenes, singing soulful and fun-filled songs for many top actors over decades. He passed away in 1987 from a heart attack.
