The story, like the 1928 Chevrolet in Chalti Ka NaamGaadi, ran amok, accommodating songs and Chaplinesque chortle-raisers at will. The lead duo, Kishore and Madhubala, were a treat on screen. And soon, a married couple off-screen, too.
