Emma lived alone until one night she heard a small voice outside calling for help in the wind and snow. When she opened the door, a tiny creature scuttled inside. Emma tried to help the tiny thing by poking the fire to make it glow warmer and putting soup and a small spoon on the table to share food. The next morning, Emma found that the fire was still burning, water was hot, and fresh bread was ready - the tiny thing had stayed and cleaned Emma's house.
