Kids Helping Kids is a social education program that engages children in solving social issues. Students at a middle school in Missouri organized a book drive to address illiteracy in Guatemala. They collected Spanish language books which were delivered to a rural school in Guatemala by a Guatemalan chocolate company. The book drive helped address the lack of access to physical books and electricity in rural Guatemala. Both the American and Guatemalan students learned about each other's cultures and communities through this experience.
