This document summarizes the services provided by a local charity hospice. They provide free palliative care to people of all ages with life-limiting illnesses through adult and children's hospice services. The care is holistic and provided by a specialist team in a homely environment. Around 200 children under 18 from the local area are cared for each year. They also run a community nursing team, activities, therapies, and a hydrotherapy pool. The hospice relies on fundraising as statutory funding only covers 25% of costs, with over £3 million needed annually to run children's services. They encourage people to support through donations, fundraising events, shopping at their stores, or volunteering.
