                             The proponent of this form is Commandant, Army School of Music
                                      DATA REQUIRED BY THE PRIVACY ACT
Authority: Title 5, sec.3012; Title 10, U.S.C.E.O. 9397. Principal purpose: Use to determine the auditionee's technical
qualification for enlistment, initial classification, reenlistment, or classification into the military band program. Routine uses:
To initiate processing into the military band program, and as a record of the individual's technical ability and progress.
Disclosure: Voluntary. Failure to provide Social Security number may result in a delay or error in the processing of this
form.

Part 1 Ceremonial Music

Part 2 Solo Piano
One piece suitable for protocol job performance, prepared either from a lead sheet or by ear.

Perform 3-5 selections performed with at least 35 minutes and no more than 45 minutes preparation.

Doubles (performance on any other non-keyboard instrument or on B-3 style organ)

Rhythm Grading Instructions and Song list

                                    Part 1 is graded GO/NO-GO

                     Parts 2-4 are graded with the Keyboard Evaluation Rubric.

    Part 5 is graded on the scale 0 (not contributing to mission), 1 (some mission capability) or 2
                (significant mission enhancer). Maximum score on Part 4 is 4 points.

              Score from Part 5 is added to final rubric score to determine final score.

                              Maximum score for audition is 40 points.

 Patriotic Selections: God Bless The USA, American Soldier, Army Strong, God Bless America, and
Any appropriate piece from the following sources with a minimum of twenty weeks time on the charts:
                                          Billboard Hot 100:
                                    Billboard R&B/Hip-hop Song
                                      Billboard Country Songs
                                        Billboard Latin Songs
                                        Billboard Rock Songs
          Any appropriate piece from the Rolling Stone "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" list
              Any piece from The New Real Book, vols 1-3 or The Standards Real Book
                Any other piece with approval from the Head, Rhythm Branch, ASOM
