About Kappa Delta Epsilon

         Kappa Delta Epsilon (KDE) is an
          honorary educational fraternity which
          supports the cause of education by
          fostering a spirit of fellowship, high
          standards of scholastic attainment and
          professional ideals among its
          members. We are an active group
          engaged in preparing our members for
          the teaching profession. Kappa Delta
          Epsilon was organized March 25,
          1933 in Washington, DC.
Membership
   212 students inducted since the chapter began
    in September 2009

   Members representing Charlotte, Collier,
    Hendry, Glades, and Lee counties

   Students from all six baccalaureate programs

   Both female and male members

2010 – SOE Students
Patty Vanderson and 2 yr. old daughter –
husband was murdered and house burnt
down in October while Patty was in her
final internship. Patty graduated on time
with the support of KDE and SOE.

Zach Moss – Year old son, Liam, born wi
rare heart defect. Liam passed away 7
      weeks after Christmas.
         2011 – SOE Student
         Michelson Aristhyl -
         Twin daughters born premature
         and admitted to Tampa children
         hospital. Michelson commuted
         to finish classes in order to be
         eligible for internship.
