This document discusses the properties and generation of binary random sequences, particularly focusing on maximal-length sequences (m-sequences) used in direct-sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) communications. It highlights the characteristics of m-sequences and explains their generation through linear feedback shift registers (LFSRs) using primitive polynomials. Various properties related to randomness, periodicity, and autocorrelation of these sequences are examined to illustrate their significance in reliable communication systems.
