How do institutional buyers and government agencies do their buying Sameer Mathur
Institutional markets like governments are major buyers of goods and services, typically requiring suppliers to submit bids where the contract is often awarded to the lowest bidder. Considerable paperwork is required from suppliers as government procedures are elaborate and must meet legal requirements, sometimes floating global tenders for large complex projects that involve major R&D costs and risks and are negotiated instead of awarded solely based on price.
Sometimes we find inspiration in unexpected places and realise that we could be looking at a great framework.
I will demonstrate how Hemingway’s writing principles can apply to the UXer workflow and help you develop a successful mindset to overcome the day-to-day challenges as designer.

The document discusses how to ask questions about someone's age in English using the verb "to be". It explains that in English, we use "to be" followed by their age in years to ask "How old are you/he/she/they?". For example, "How old is Jack Nicholson? He is 74 years old." It also notes that in Spanish, we use the verb "tener" (to have) instead of "ser" (to be) when giving someone's age, as in "Jack Nicholson tiene 74 años". The document provides examples of asking the ages of individuals and couples, and emphasizes only using the verb "to be" followed by years old in English.
The document provides examples of using the phrase "not only...but also" to express that two or more options are both true. It gives examples stating that Homer Simpson loves not only donuts but also pizza, and that Brad Pitt is not only rich but also handsome. It explains that when "not only" is at the beginning of a sentence, question word order is required. It also discusses subject-verb agreement in sentences using "not only...but also".
Conditional sentences have two parts: a condition and a result. There are two types of conditional sentences: real conditionals and unreal conditionals. Real conditionals use the present simple tense for the condition and present or future tense for the result, indicating the result would logically follow if the condition occurred. Unreal conditionals use the past simple tense for the condition and "would" plus a verb for the result, showing the condition is not true and the result may not happen.
The document discusses the use of the present continuous tense to talk about future plans. It explains that the present continuous can be used to refer to actions happening now or planned for the future, with the difference being the time expression used. Examples are provided showing questions using the present continuous to ask about future plans and responses using it to express planned future actions, even without an explicit time expression due to context.
The document discusses future plans and finished future actions. It explains how to express general future plans using verbs like expect, hope, intend or plan followed by an infinitive verb. It also explains how to express possible future plans using the perfect infinitive and how to indicate a finished future action using the future perfect tense. Specific examples of each structure are provided.
The document outlines different types of modifiers that can be used with adjectives and adverbs, including qualifiers, other adjectives/adverbs, nouns, verbs, prepositional phrases. It provides examples of each type of modifier combined with adjectives and adverbs. The document concludes with an assignment where students will work with a partner to create a dialogue using examples of adjective and adverb modifiers provided in a table.
El documento explica la diferencia entre sustantivos singulares y plurales en inglés. Indica que muchos sustantivos se vuelven plurales agregando una "s" al final. También cubre el uso de "a" versus "an" antes de sustantivos singulares, dependiendo de si la primera letra suena como una consonante o vocal.

Teoria i praktyka celebrytyzacji politycznej. Celebryci polityczni w internet...Tomasz Olczyk
W pierwszej części trochę filozofuję na temat pojęć celebryty (a właściwie celebrity) i trajektorii. Potem opisuję obrazy Donalda Tuska, Jarosława Kaczyńskiego, Kasi Tusk i Marty Kaczyńskiej na Plotku i Pudelku. Na końcu próbuję sformułować ogólne wnioski na temat serwisu plotkarskiego jako medium politycznej celebrytyzacji.
Poparcie celebryckie (celebrity endorsement) w komunikacji politycznej – pols...Tomasz Olczyk
The paper describes theoretical and empirical aspects of celebrity endorsement in political communication. Definition of celebrity endorsement laid out in commercial marketing is adopted and adjusted to political communication. Various types of celebrity endorsements and their examples in Polish electoral campaigns are then described. The paper presents theoretical models of celebrity endorsement effects, such as: source models, meaning transfer theory, audience intensity model, cognitive shortcut model and agenda setting effect of celebrity endorsement. The case of Oprah Winfrey endorsment of Barack Obama in 2007 primaries is discussed as
a source of empirical evidence of impact of celebrity endorsement in political communication.
