Course Synopsis 
This course is design to help student to identify the entrepreneurial techniques and inculcate the idea, 
awareness and culture into the young children mindset of becoming future business personnel. 
Course Objectives 
The student will be exposed to the broad awareness and understanding of basic entrepreneur 
psychology, interest and the potential on entrepreneurship of young children. At the end of the course, the 
students will be able to: 
- Describe the fundamentals of entrepreneurship psychology. 
- Use knowledge on the role of entrepreneur in food service industry for young children. 
- Design business plan activities and ensuring leadership supremacy in relations to young children. 
- Engage and establish relationship with potential customer and investor 
- Develop business entity focusing to young children.

HUB1083/HTBB1023 – Entrepreneurship in Food Industry for Young Children 
Assignment (Group Task) : 20% 
Exercises (Individual Task) : 20% 
Participation : 10% 
Final Examination : 50% 
Total: 100% 
Course Requirements & Policies 
You are required to abide by the university's Academic Regulation pertaining to all matters during their 
course of study. You are expected to fulfill the following requirements of the course to obtain a grade: 
Group Task (20%) 
You are to work in a group (5-6 person per group) to create a retail business. The business should sell 
healthy food for young children. The tasks are as shown below: 
a) Overview of a business: name with logo, concept, location, mission and vision. 
b) Organizational chart of a business. 
c) Business layout. 
d) Product with packaging and pricing. 
e) Future plan. 
Individual Task (20%) 
The tasks are as shown below: 
a) To produce 1 (one) kid food with 5 (five) criteria, and 1 (one) kid beverage with 5 (five) criteria. Each 
type should have: A name with description, ingredients, healthy information and pricing. 
b) To create 1 (one) kid toy with 5 (five) criteria. 
c) To generate two types of promotion. 
Individual Presentation (10%) 
The group members should create a video presentation to promote your business to the public. It should 
be between 4 to 5 minutes length, with a background of music. 
Final Examination (50%) 
You will be examined on your level of understanding and knowledge acquired in this course. The format 
of the examinations will include essay and/or discussion type of questions.

a) Academic Honesty is required of all members of a learning community. Hence, the University will not 
tolerate cheating or plagiarism on tests, examinations, papers or other course assignments. Students who 
engage in such dishonesty may be given failing grades or expelled from the University. 
b) Attendance policy, Lateness 
c) Optional: Missed exams, missed assignments, make-up assignments, make-up exams, grading, 
support services, extra credit and disability statement
