More than 7,000 ideas were submitted by over 2,300 applicants to the Knight Arts Challenge, with over 50% of applicants not being 501c3 organizations. The Challenge aimed to expand access to the arts, support local artists, and celebrate cultural diversity by providing grants to impactful art projects. While only some applicants received grants, many felt they still benefited from participating and nearly half pursued their ideas despite not winning.
