b. Your conduct in years 10 and 11?
Excellent throughout all my years of schooling as demonstrated by my teachers’ comments.
3. What has been the standard of your attendance and punctuality in years 10 and 11?
The standard of my attendance has been exceptional throughout years 10 and 11 as my attendance
percentage has been well above 90% every year. My punctuality has been perfect as I have never been late
to school, classes, excursions or extra-curricular activities. In addition to this, I have always worn the
correct uniform required for each day of the week.
4. What would be your main aims as Captain or Vice Captain if you were elected?
My main aims would be to lead in a way that carries innovative, imaginative, creative and inspiring
brilliance. I would carry myself with the same open-minded, relentlessly determined and wholehearted
attitude that I strive to instil in those around me. I know that through my unwavering ability to lead
through fear, failure and disappointment, and rise above pressure and difficulty, I will undoubtedly be able
to help forge the dreams and ambitions of my fellow students. I can promise that through my confident
and positive leadership we will be able to test the boundaries of capability, stretching them so far to the
point where they shatter to reveal an innovative excellence in every aspect of our school. I would strive to
aid in the self-realisation of our students to succeed through our school’s motto “Excellence, opportunity,
innovation and success.”
I would rise to every occasion to represent the school on a higher formal level by further enhancing the
positive image of Sir Joseph Banks High School, in order to reinforce and recognise the amazing work and
achievements of our students and staff. I would be a strong ambassador who would carry insurmountable
respect and dignity in the representation of our school in all formal settings.
If I am appointed to School Captain, I will surely strengthen the whole school leadership team as the
innovative and confident representative body of the school. I will be able to carry myself with fierce
determination and direction, as well as a clear open-mindedness in order to work in cooperative cohesion
with my fellow prefects, captain and vice captains. I will strive to empower each and every member of the
leadership team to extend their capable limits in order to bring positive change and inspiration to the
students around us. With my stoic leadership qualities, I will cultivate confident freedom of expression and
creativity to help grow my fellow team as strong leaders.
As School Captain, I want to run workshops with different groups of students to pass on my knowledge,
skills and experience in order to inspire younger generations to realise their full potential. I have vast
amounts of insightful and useful abilities which they can learn from and adapt to suit their personal goals.
Through my involvement with the ABCN Scholarship foundation, I have gained invaluable advice from
successful business people who have decades of experience of working with other highly successful
people. I have also gained valuable skills and abilities as well as having built extensive networks from my
years of experience and participation in a number of areas including debating, public speaking,
photography and filming, drama and performance, leadership roles and sporting endeavours.
6. If I became the school Captain, I would have the opportunity to carry meaningful significance with every
year group in the school, which would allow me to provide them with my knowledge, insight, guidance and
real and closely relatable examples of what they can possibly achieve in their school career and their future
lives. I know that I will be able to provide my fellow students with unique knowledge and experience
through my own inspiring achievements and guidance.
5. What skills and abilities would you bring to the role?

Punctuality
I have an adept ability to act in high pressure situations when leading a group of people to complete
important, complicated or difficult tasks and achieve quality results. I have demonstrated this through my
work in the Festival of Cultures and the Harmony Day assembly as I assisted in the directing of the
backstage production of both events, whilst having to perform as well. I have also shown my ability to
perform in pressure situations through my success in debating and my competence to speak in front of
large crowds with ease as well as an engaging and enthusiastic attitude.
I have proven my ability to lead in several varying leadership and creative roles throughout my five years at
Sir Joseph Banks High School. These include my proactive initiative to help found and direct the school
Promotion Team, lead as a senior member of the SRC by actively guiding and encouraging younger
generations of students to grow and lead their respective peer groups, support and inspire the school
knockout, open, zone and grade sports teams I have played my heart and soul for, and by serving as an
astute role model in every single class that I have studied and participated in by working and collaborating
with my peers in order to raise the standards of their educational outcomes.
7. I have a vast experience in promotional endeavours through my years of experience filming gridiron and
community events. The filming and promotional skills that I have gained from my experience, have enabled
me to translate that to our school, which I have demonstrated through my work in filming and
photographing multiple school events and programs such as the school athletics carnival, swimming
carnival, Helmsman project and a multitude of school excursions. I have also demonstrated my
promotional skills through my determined efforts in the school Promotion Team. I not only initiated this
specialised team, but I also explained and demonstrated our purpose and helped direct the students in a
majority of our projects. By providing a clear goal, I was able to guide and inspire our team to bring about
positive short and long term changes in our school and community. These changes have resulted in
invaluable outcomes for our school in the public eye and the immense growth of our students through
creative leadership roles.
6. Why would you like to be Captain or Vice Captain?
I want to be the school captain that people can remember for years to come; as the student who gave his
fellow students innovative skills, abilities and opportunities to inspire positive change and the success in
their future self-realisation. A student who always led by example, never asking, forcing or pressuring
anyone to do what he himself could not. I am determined to give back to the school even after I leave and
pursue my own career. If I come back as a known figure, as a previous school captain and a successful
person in whatever career I choose, I will indefinitely be able to work closely with students in order to
change the nature of Sir Joseph Banks High School into a place where “Excellence, opportunity, innovation
and success” will be the true embodiment of many generations to come.
