Jung grew up without religion but became Christian at age 13 due to attending a school in Wales that followed Christian beliefs. By age 17, Jung lost faith and became agnostic again after moving to the Philippines, where she felt depressed about leaving friends and questioned why God would make her unhappy. Her experiences moving countries and educational and social influences affected her shifting religious views over time from no religion to Christianity and back to agnosticism.
