Juma Bananuka is an academician and a renowned researcher at Makerere University Business School - Kampala, Uganda. The origin of Juma Bananuka can be traced from Busakuru in present day Rubanda District (formerly Kabale District). Juma Bananuka's ancestors later migrated to Bunagana in Kisoro District and later to Democratic Republic of Congo before finally settling in present day Kamwenge District in western Uganda. Juma Bananuka is a Lecturer at Makerere University Business School in the department of accounting. His research interests are in corporate reporting, auditing, Islamic banking and taxation.

I have been teaching in the above institution since 2013. I have been able to progress
from the position of Graduate Assistant in 2013 to Teaching Assistant and to the current
position of Lecturer. I facilitate on undergraduate degree, diploma and certificate
programs in the areas of Financial Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Management
Accounting and Performance Management. My responsibilities include:-
