As a subset of the JS community, react has seen a lot of so-called ""good practices"" these last years, made out of libraries and design patterns. As if it wasn't hard enough to stay sane in a crazy JS world, we're now doing the same in react.
Together, let's explore how such abundance of new techniques can actually be embraced, without making you lose your mind !
JS Fest 2019/Autumn. Anton Cherednikov. Choreographic or orchestral architect...JSFestUA
When we developing a loosely coupled and reusable application, often arises the question: how to arrange to communicate between services or applications? To a large extent, it depends on the nature of the request and the granularity of your applications or services.
We will discuss the two classic microservice integration patterns: service choreography and orchestration.
What is the difference between these two modes of communication? Which one we should use? How to ensure data consistency? How to implement disturbed transactions?
We will discuss these issues, consider an example of implementing orchestration on nodejs, and of course we will not forget about logging, monitoring and alerting.

During the presentation, we will consider what advantages a front-end developer will get from knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
We will analyze real-world examples where this knowledge simplified logic and accelerated applications dramatically.
And finally we will understand the most necessary things that will allow us to determine the effectiveness of the code and easily improve it.

Did you know that the beginnings of data visualization are strongly tied to solving some of the biggest problems humanity has ever faced? Wouldn’t it be more interesting to say that you’re not a doctor, but you do save lives than to say you’re just a developer?
When talking about data visualization and JavaScript your mind usually goes to D3.js. But if our data has a location-based representation, we are faced with a limited choice. The main topic of this talk is to introduce the audience with deck.gl, an open-source WebGL-powered library developed by Uber that allows us to create beautiful data visualizations of large datasets and raise the level of interactivity for the user on a whole new level. We’ll see how our code can tell a story and how that story can potentially save lives. A short introduction to the library and it’s API will be demonstrated along with practical use-cases, live-code examples and it’s integration with popular frameworks such as Angular and React.

Никаких просадок при рендере на клиенте, никаких падений серверов от нагрузки, только SEO-friendly приложения без проблем с масштабируемостью.
We'll go through the possible ways to bring technology agnostic microservice architecture to the frontend, review pros/cons of each of them. We also will check the "ultimate solution" that handles microservices with SSR in SPA manner.
This talk will be interesting for ones who have multiple teams working on the same frontend application.

Blockchain and decentralized applications are getting used more and more often. Many big enterprises like IBM, Walmart, Alibaba, FedX, British Airways, and others are already integrating blockchain into their ecosystems.
As most of the applications on the web, decentralized applications require a client to make interaction with them user-friendly. I would like to share how to connect/integrate JavaScript applications with decentralized, blockchain services. Take a look at what are the differences between decentralized and standard backends, what challenges and issues developers might meet.

JS Fest 2019/Autumn.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

How to Build a Module in Odoo 17 Using the Scaffold MethodCeline George
Odoo provides an option for creating a module by using a single line command. By using this command the user can make a whole structure of a module. It is very easy for a beginner to make a module. There is no need to make each file manually. This slide will show how to create a module using the scaffold method.
How to Fix the Import Error in the Odoo 17Celine George
An import error occurs when a program fails to import a module or library, disrupting its execution. In languages like Python, this issue arises when the specified module cannot be found or accessed, hindering the program's functionality. Resolving import errors is crucial for maintaining smooth software operation and uninterrupted development processes.

Good morning everyone, thank you so much for coming. It’s an incredible honor to be able to speak here with y'all. I’ve been having such a blast getting to know folks here at the conference and learning about the problems you are solving at work. This is a very smart group of people.
My name is Kyle Boss. I am a web developer at Tinder. You may be asking yourself “Well, Tinder is an app, what is a web developer doing at Tinder?” That is a very fair question. Well, we actually turned the app into a progressive web app, unleashing the power of Tinder to be on even more platforms! You can now check your matches on your phone if you don’t have enough space to download yet another app, you can check out your matches on your laptop while you Netflix & chill solo,

and you can even use the swipe feature at work! Give it a try because we even included a “Work Mode” button so that if your boss suddenly appears behind your shoulder,
excel sheets will suddenly cover your screen.

This means that systems that integrate headless CMSs actually empower the writers and engineers simultaneously. The writers get what they want, which is the ability to continue using WordPress as a tool to write in. The engineers get to continue using their cool technology that integrates well with their current processes and engineering ecosystem! It’s a win-win situation.
I feel like Oprah right now giving away free cars. You get a happy writer and engineer, you get a happy writer and engineer, and you, and you!
This concept is called having a Headless CMS.
But how does one turn Wordpress into a headless CMS? Well, Gatsby! Gatsby can actually allow us to have a React app front-end that treats WordPress as our back-end. How does it do it?
It is a static website generator. We are going to run the four commands to get you a basic, static React app.

Install the Gatsby CLI with `npm install -g gatsby-cli`.
Then, create a new Gatsby React project with `gatsby new my-site`. What this does it creates a ReactJS app which is where you will do most of your coding, and wraps it with Gatsby configuration.
Go into the project we just created `cd my-site`.

It’s been a year and SwipeLife is still running strong. All throughout 2018 and 2019 we’ve been a dating companion to our users: Whether it’s SwipeLife’s tips on how to get out of a bad first date, or SwipeLife guiding readers on whether it’s morally OK to ghost on someone or not. The readers are reading and they keep coming back for more. SwipeLife has proven to be a powerful force in the dating world, and we are here to stay!

October 1st was the deadline, and sure enough, on October 1st, our baby SwipeLife was born. The tech and dating community combined went wild with the content we were serving. Tech news sources such as TechCrunch & Cheddar picked it up.
Don’t take our word for it. She received straight-A’s from day one on this earth and still is to this day. (In the Lighthouse audit that is).
These are the kind of results that you get out of the box by using Gatsby. The first is our Performance metric. This is representative of numbers like “time to interactive”. Because of the fact that we are using a Serverless architecture, loading pages and clicking around feels like your just opening files on your own computer. Furthermore, Gatsby uses this performance technique called “Pre-Loading”, if it sees you can get to a particular page from the page a user is currently on, it will load ahead of time all of the resources needed for that next page.
It also does cool things like image optimization, deferred loading of images, compressed javascript and CSS all out of the box. Gone are the days of spending weeks at a time working on, these are now something you get for free.
Furthermore, take a look at the Progressive Web App button. GatsbyJS allows us to be a PWA almost out of the box as well. For those of you familiar with PWAs, y’all are probably telling yourself “omg”. It’s true. A PWA is basically giving your website app-like features. If a website like Gmail has ever given you a push notification, that means it is a PWA.
I wanted to point out a cool feature to SwipeLife. We pre-load and cache necessary calls. Not only does this save time, but it also is great for folks with a spotty internet connection. If you are on the BART surfing SwipeLife, if you lose internet, you will still be able to browse many parts of the blog. This is also something you get for free with GatsbyJS.
These numbers are impressive in themselves, but when you really dig into them, it’s really neat all of the features Gatsby gives you.

October 1st, 2018 was a great day, one that I don’t think anyone on the SwipeLife team will ever forget. Fast-forward a few months. It was June 11th, a Tuesday. It was raining in New York, there was a small, mild earthquake in Cleveland, and TechCrunch’s website turned into a succulent.
I looked at it, and was like “Wait a minute...was TechCrunch hacked?”. Like a good millennial, I went to Twitter to investigate. As it turned out, TechCrunch was not alone. Many big websites like 9to5 mac all boasted succulents on their websites.
As Kyle Frost put it, this was a big day for succulents. One thing all these websites seemed to have in common, they all use WordPress.
As it turns out there was a bug on WordPress’s end. Wordpress had defaulted everyone’s front-end to the default WordPress theme, and this wasn’t just for a few minutes. This was for hours. When I read this article, bet your bottom dollar that I surfed my little butt over to swipelife.tinder.com. Here’s what I saw.
Nothing changed! It’s still up :)
Because of Gatsby and the fact that we use Wordpress as a headless CMS, Wordpress only controls the content-side of the operations. Our front-end is our React app. This means that when Wordpress switched everyone’s front-end to the default succulent theme, SwipeLife was left uninterrupted. Heck, since our website is static and serverless, if all of WordPress went down, SwipeLife would stay up. Would our writers be able to write content if WordPress was down? No. This is small potatoes because our readers are still able to access SwipeLife and all of the existing content. We got to keep all of our nines folks.
This is one of those moments where you smile as an engineer. I think we need to have more of those moments. We always lament the times when things go wrong, but it’s really difficult to pin-point those times where everything went right. This is one of those times.

Well, every good campaign needs a good landing page, just like every good superhero needs a side-kick right?
Think about two things you want in a viral campaign website
The first is the ability to be built fast. There is nothing worse than building a website for a targeted audience, and by the time the website is deployed, excitement has already come and gone. The Harlem Shake lastest for about a month and BAM, it was out of style. Because of how fast virality comes and goes, we decided that the landing page needed to be built and out the door in a week. So first, it needs to be able to be built fast.
The second is it needs to be able to handle moments of virality. It needs to be able to scale up on a dime. It should be able to support low traffic one day and then be able to handle a Super Bowl Ad campaign or Reddit Hug of Death the next.
The web team, I have to admit, was kind of stumped. I mean, our projects typically were built in React. We could get a React site up-and-running in a sitch. We knew that our only hope for getting a website up in a week was to do it in React. But what about the scalability part? Some sort of serverless architecture will make our website scalable and be able to handle hordes of traffic...but a serverless React project? Is that even possible?

Well, that was exciting, wasn’t it! We all got back into work on Monday, a tear of happiness in our eyes for the impact we had just catalyzed. A meeting with marketing was placed on our calendars. “What could it be?” we all asked. Maybe an emoji celebration? Maybe a marketing and engineering mixer? You never know. We entered the meeting room, sweat on our brow, and marketing says “Good news, we are going to start a lifestyle blog, SwipeLife!
To our delight, fetch happened. Immediately, people started sharing, posting, commenting. News organizations caught on and spread our word of love like wildfire. They all used the hashtag #RepresentLove.
We even got a full-page ad in the New York Times explaining the cause.
Despite all of the love our website was receiving, it didn’t crash. It didn’t go down. All of the devs took a moment to relish in this success. The world, even if it was just for a moment in time, was united. We were happy. We went to bed with smiles on our faces while the campaign was going.
One morning, we came into work. I mean, it was like any other day.
Thank you!

Before lunch though, the headlines started coming in. Unicode announced that interracial couple emojis have been officially inducted into the emoji registry. People were cheering, smiling, we were all sharing a sense of purpose and completeness.

There’s a lot more exciting things going on here at Tinder. If after this talk you have a sudden desire to leave the company that paid for you to be here so you can join Tinder, I have great news! We are opening an office right next door and are hiring! Feel free to send me an email at kyle.boss@gotinder.com. I am always looking for awesome co-workers, and getting that sweet, sweet referral bonus isn't so bad either.
So, we talked about how Gatsby can make your project serverless so you do not have to worry about scaling or server issues. We also discussed how GatsbyJS empowers the engineers on your team to do the best job they can, as fast as they can by letting them use the tools they already know-and-love: React and GraphQL! GatsbyJS not only empowers the engineers, but because it lets us use WordPress as a headless CMS, the writers are just as empowered as the engineers! They can still use WordPress to their heart’s desire while no one has to worry about the succulent apocalypse ever happening to the project.
