Rutgers University’s Financial Statistics and Risk Management Program Hires Managing
Director Executive
November 1, 2015
I am pleased to announce that Joseph Libretti has joined Rutgers University Financial Statistics
and Risk Management (FSRM) program as the Managing Director of Employer Relations and
Career Development.
FSRM Professional Masters’ program is a comprehensive program dedicated to the education of
the next generation professionals in financial statistics and risk management. It provides its
graduates with a deep understanding of the nature of uncertainty, financial risks and statistical
properties of financial markets; a broad knowledge of established regulatory guidelines in risk
management; strong technical skills for asset and portfolio analysis, risk evaluation and
management; and necessary communication and leadership skills for a successful career.
The FSRM Program has grown substantially since its inception in the fall of 2011 and now
directly requires an internal program dedicated to support career development of student pre-
graduation and post-graduation employment. Mr. Libretti will take a leading role in this
expanded effort.
With extensive experience in capital and financial markets, Mr. Libretti will be valuable given
the program's specialized focus on quantitative analysis within financial services. Mr. Libretti is
also well versed in client relations, financial analysis, business development, fundamental
equities, asset allocation, due diligence and minority-designated business for pension funds and
asset managers.
Mr. Libretti joins us from IFS Securities where he served as the Managing Director, Corporate
Advisory. He has over 30 years of experience on Wall Street, many of which were as a broker on
the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
