A new video-based recruitment application
for the young and the inexperienced brings
jobseekers and employers together by
streamlining the whole recruitment process
into one place.
3. Challenge: To make it easier for
employers to find suitable young
adults
• Youth unemployment is often seasonal and short-term
• Transitioning from education to work and finding work without previous
experience can be daunting
• We want to give an alternate route for young adults who might not have
extensive CVs or who might not be great at writing job applications
• At the same time employers have a need for suitable workers, but the
recruitment process can be challenging which doesn't encourage hiring
new employees
• There must be a better way for the jobseekers and the employers to
meet!
4. The team
• We met at the University of Helsinki Master Class 2014 program
• Our idea won 2nd place, inspiring us to develop the solution further into
an actual application, with real-world potential
• We come from different backgrounds with a mutual concern for the
problems of youth unemployment and the problems of the job market
• We have expertise in the social sciences, economics, communications,
psychology, design, mathematics, data science and engineering
5. Background to the
approach
We have a mobile application utilizing videos which is easy and quick to
use for both the employer and the job applicant
It combines the traditional written job application, a CV and a job
interview
All the videos are short, at most 30 seconds long
Videos can describe the personality better than written applications
The employer can easily find someone to work for a few days or longer
In the beginning our idea is to target the service industry, as there the
personality of the applicant is a priority
Applicants can easily apply for short-term employment anywhere where

7. The impact
The vision of our business idea is to modernize and diversify recruitment
and job search processes
In the future, jobs are not applied for only with the traditional “paper and
pen” technique but through individualized ways using modern technology
The aim is also to emphasize hidden jobs as individuals in the private
domain may hire more help as finding the right person becomes easy
and effortless
Increase in overall service industry productivity
8. Call to action
• Collaboration with Universities of Applied Sciences and other
educational institutions at both national and international levels
• Advice from the Service Union United and TE-Services as well as legal
counseling for contract and potential development on carrying out work
as an employment agency.
