knowledge and experience
Work Experience
Application Engineer for Schaeffler Group USA
Fort Mill, SC
May 2014-Current
Engineering roller bearing solutions for various customers in the motorcycle and special vehicles industry. Bearing
and system level evaluation is carried out with simulation tools like BearinX, CABA3D (Schaeffler Group’s
proprietary bearing dynamics software), and ABAQUS CAE. Launching and managing multi-million dollar new
product launches to ISO 9001 standards (FMEA, PPAP). Overcoming time constraints to consistently launch
products quicker than quoted lead time and meet the customer’s timeline. Complete system and design level FMEA
analysis for new products in order to meet quality requirements.
Mechanical Engineering Intern for Long Road Racing
Raleigh, NC
February 2013-November 2013
Assisted in the re-engineering of two 2010 Lotus Exige super cars for SCCA pro road racing in the Pirelli World
Challenge Series. Fabricated structural components for suspension systems and assisted in the tuning of the
spring-damper systems. Maintained and repaired both cars for best performance.
Camp Counselor/Lead Instructor for Techsplorers LLC.
Raleigh/Durham, NC
June-August 2012
Taught and facilitated several different classes for young people to obtain hands-on experiential learning with
electrical engineering projects such as sonic range-finders and solar-powered tractors. Utilized the rebuild of a small
internal combustion engine (lawnmower) to emphasize the concepts and theories of mechanical engineering.
Camp Counselor Wolfpack Motorsports
North Carolina State University
2011 (June)
Lead Counselor for basics of high performance automotive suspensions, chassis, and engines. Facilitated hands-on
application of suspension concepts for the students. Utilized various challenges such as a pit crew and driving
challenges to maintain high interest level.
