Jerry Jones was born in 1942 in Los Angeles and grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. He played football at the University of Arkansas, where he was a captain of their 1964 national championship team. In 1989, Jones purchased the Dallas Cowboys and has owned the team ever since. As the team's owner and general manager, Jones has overseen 3 Super Bowl victories and the construction of the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
