This poem tells the story of homelessness through haiku and diamante poems. The haiku describe being left homeless after leaving shelter during a storm, running away from an abusive home, and being left homeless by abusive parents. The diamante poems describe the hopelessness of being homeless, begging and starving on the streets, and eventually transforming to a positive and determined state of hoping for the future.
