Stories of Origin & Important People Jews, Christians, Muslims were the descendants of Abraham. God gave Moses the 10 commandments. David was an ancient king.
Holy Writings & Core Beliefs -The Torah is the old testament. Jewish people follow and respect the Torah. -Jewish People believe in only 1 god. This is one of their Core Beliefs. -Jewish people follow the 613 Commandments that are in the  Torah.
Symbols & Objects -This is a picture of a Kippah. It is a sign of respect.  -This is a picture of a picture of the star of David. -The Tallit is a shall that Jewish people wear. It has strings coming off of it which represents 613 commandments.
Holy Places & Places of Worship -A synagogue is a holy place for   Jewish people to worship.  -The Western Wall is a one of the walls from the first temple. -Israel is a holy place for Jewish people because of Jerusalem.
Rites of Passage & Rituals -A bar or bat mitzvah is   celebration when a girl turns 12 and a half and a boy turns 13. - When you attend a Jewish wedding the ceremony is under a Chuppah. -  Shiva is a ceremony after someone who you are very close to dies.
Celebrations & Holidays -Hanukkah means rededication. -Passover means to pass through or spare. -On Yom Kippur you fast for 24 hours.
History & Modern Day - There is a conflict between Israelis and the Palestinians.
