Streams and Valleys will host Friends of the River - Party on the Plaza on October 23 at Montgomery Plaza in Fort Worth from 6-9 pm. The event will include a 3.4 mile Social Stroll/Fido Fun Run along the Trinity Trails with family and pets or a chip-timed 6k run. After the walk/run, there will be a block party with live music, food from 20 local restaurants, and beer and wine. Advance tickets are $33-$43 with children's tickets at $10. Packet pick-up begins at 5 pm and the 6k starts at 6:15 pm and the 3k walk starts at 6:25 pm.

Streams and Valleys Invites Runners to Party on the Plaza
FORT WORTH, TX-- Streams and Valley will host Friends of the River - Party on the Plaza
from 6-9 p.m. on October 23 at Montgomery Plaza in Fort Worth. Presented by XTO Energy, it
is the only annual fundraiser benefitting improvement projects for the Trinity River corridor in
Tarrant County.
Attendees can walk, run, or stroll along 3.4 miles of the Trinity Trails with family and four-legged
friends in the Social Stroll/Fido Fun Run, or race in a chip-timed 6k. A giant block party
caps off the event. After the walk, a giant block party will feature live music, food tastings from
more than 20 local restaurants, beer and wine. Pets won’t have to miss out on the fun, thanks to a

Prices vary based on the time of registration. Advance tickets are $33 for general admission (3k
or 6k), $43 for a belt buckle or fish hat (6k only), and children 12 and under are $10. Register
online at www.friendsoftheriverfw.org. Tickets purchased at the event are $50 for general
admission and $15 for children 12 and under. For those who only want to party without running
first, tickets are available for $30.
Packet pick-up will begin at 5 p.m. on race-day at Luke’s Locker in Fort Worth. At 6:15, the 6k
race will begin and at 6:25 the 3k walk gets underway. The Party on the Plaza begins at 7 p.m.
