Kamuzu Academy is one of the most prestigious schools in Africa. It is a large multicultural school that
serves a wide community of both local and international students and has been ranked one of top 100 schools
in Africa.
Taught English to Forms 1-6 (11-18yr olds) to the levels of IGCSE, AS/A2.
My responsibilities included short, medium and long term planning of lessons to meet the National
Curriculum UK requirements on which our school curriculum is based.
I also taught planned lessons to pupils of different abilities as well as consistently monitoring the
achievements of pupils and reviewing personal and pupil achievement targets.
I was also responsible for the delivery of written and oral reports regarding students’ development.
I was Pastoral leader as House Master looking after 85 boys of ages 11 to 18 ensuring their well-being in the
boarding environment.
