1. ABSTRACT
• Educational institutions offer a vast array of courses to learners. However,
managing such a large amount of courses becomes a very tedious process if
done manually.
• The Course Management System is a web-based platform with an aim to
provide quick, immediate access to various courses.
• Management of users, roles, courses, facilities, progress are some essential
features.
• Users must register into the application by providing all the basic and general
information. Registered users can log in with the default username and password.
• It is very beneficial to students and faculty as they can avail all the features once
he/she log in to the site.
2. OBJECTIVE
The objectives of the project are to:
• Build a user-friendly web-based application for managing learner’s courses.
• Integrate a feature to handle course administration and register courses online,
saving time and money.
• Develop a feature to help students enroll into their desired courses by providing
necessary information.
• Design a feature to enable the students as well as the faculty to manage and track
course activities like assignment submissions, academic progress, etc.
3. INTRODUCTION
The Online Course Management System improvises the conventional method by
the use of an efficient computer based system.
This project consists of three modules which are inter-linked to each other. They are:
Administrator Module, Student Module, Faculty Module.
• Administrator module: It manages administrative works such as creating
account for students and faculty, course details, formation of curriculum, etc.
• Student Module and Instructor Module have been designed for students and
faculty to log in to the account created by administrator and avail all the features.
4. INTRODUCTION
Some of the features of the application include:
• The details of the students and faculty can be stored in the database in a well
organized way. After the creation of account, the student can view his/her details.
• This application will allow the user to search for a particular course. It also provides
details of the course like name, duration, curriculum, etc.
• The students can register the courses, schedule and chose the faculty for learning.
