2. Acts 2:42-45
42 And they devoted themselves
to the apostles' teaching and the
fellowship, to the breaking of
bread and the prayers. 43 And
awe[a] came upon every soul, and
many wonders and signs were
being done through the apostles.
44 And all who believed were
together and had all things in
common. 45 And they were
selling their possessions and
belongings and distributing the
proceeds to all, as any had need.

4. Acts 5:1-5
1But a man named Ananias, with his
wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property,
2 and with his wife's knowledge he kept
back for himself some of the proceeds
and brought only a part of it and laid it at
the apostles' feet. 3 But Peter said,
“Ananias, why has Satan filled your
heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep
back for yourself part of the proceeds of
the land? 4 While it remained unsold,
did it not remain your own? And after it
was sold, was it not at your disposal?
Why is it that you have contrived this
deed in your heart? You have not lied to
man but to God.”
5. Common Sense (Obey)
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his
flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had
respect unto Abel and to his offering:5 But unto
Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And
Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.6
And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth?
and why is thy countenance fallen?7 If thou doest
well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest
not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be
his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
8. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (ESV)
13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not
common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let
you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the
temptation he will also provide the way of escape,
that you may be able to endure it.
