Since the Roman Empire, Italy has
been one of greatest countries in
Europe.
It’s the country with the largest
number of architectonic, cultural and
historical wealth.
Its territory, trough it’s not as vast as
other countries, is very varied: in fact
there are mountains (The Alps in the
North, the Apennins in the Centre
and in the Southern), vast hills and
some planes.
Thousands of kilometres of coasts
increase the landscape’s variety of
our peninsula.

The Italian flag il green, white and red, with three
vertical pipings of equal dimensions.
4. FLAG’S HISTORY
The Italian flag was born in 14 november 1794 when two
students from Bologna wore it , as a rosette, during a rebellion.
In 1848 the Kingdowm of Sardinia adopted it.
In 1861 it became a symbol of the Kingdowm of Italy.
Since 1948 it is the flag of the Italian Republic.

The fountain of Trevi is the largest and one of the most famous

The fountain is fed the oldes still-funtioning Roman aqueduct

Square of Spain, with the staircase of “Trinità dei Monti” is
one of the most famous squares in Rome.

It’s the official residence of the Pope.
St. Peter Basilica was built by Michelangelo.
The colonnade was built by Bernini.

Maratea is a town of Greek origin and is situated in the
enchanthing coast of Tyrrhenian Sea.
It’s called the pearl of Tyrrhenian.
