2. And we have not sent you but as mercy for all the
world. ( Surah al-anbiya: 107)
3. OVERVIEW
• Revealed in Makkah, this sūrah, as with all other parts of the Qur’ān revealed in that
period, deals with the issue of faith. It does so under three main headings:
namely, God’s oneness, His message, and mankind’s resurrection/ Qiyamah.
• The stated verse from the Last passage from surat al-anbiya .
• It tells us God’s law in sending messengers to advocate a message testifying to the
unity of the community of believers and their single faith. This verse also represents
God’s grace given on all worlds in the form of sending His final Messenger, Muhammad
(peace be upon him). At this point, the Prophet is ordered to leave the unbelievers alone
to face their destiny which will be determined by God.
4. IMPORTANCE OF HOLY PROPHET
• is plural of which means “world” that includes all creatures, including
humans, animals, plants, jinns etc. Hence without any shadow of doubt arrival of Prophet (Peace &
Blessings be upon him) is a mercy not only upon us but all worlds and creations of Allah azza
Wajjal, thus we should rejoice as ordered in Qur'an (surat – yunus 10:58)
• Sayyidina abn umar (r.a) has reported that holy prophet Muhammad said
that is I am blessing sent by Allah so that I lift up the people (who obey Allah) and
humble the other people(who disobey Allah). (Ibn Kathir)
• About the birth of Prophet( s.w.a.) :
. Translation: Iblis cried loudly four times, first when Allah declared him as
cursed, second when he was thrown out, Third When Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) was born
and fourth when Surah al-Fatiha was revealed [Ibn Kathir in Al Bidayah wan-Nihayah, Volume No.
2, Page No. 166]
5. IMPORTANCE CONTINUOUS
• In Quran says:
Surely, a Messenger has come unto you from among yourselves; grievous to him is that you should
fall into trouble; he is ardently desirous of your welfare; and to the believers he is
compassionate, merciful. (surah at-taobah Chapter 9:128 )
• Yet in another verse it says: O Prophet, truly We have sent
thee as a Witness, and a Bearer of glad tidings, and a Warner, (surat al-azhab Chapter 33:46)
•Here Allah tells us that He has made Muhammad a mercy to the `Alamin, He sent him as a mercy
for all of them (peoples), so whoever accepts this mercy and gives thanks for this blessing, will be
happy in this world and in the Hereafter. But whoever rejects it and denies it, will lose out in this
world and in the Hereafter, as Allah says (surat Ibrahim 28-29):
•
Have you not seen those who have changed the blessings of Allah into disbelief, and caused their
people to dwell in the house of destruction Hell, in which they will burn, -- and what an evil place to
settle in!
