Hebrews 3:12-14. Sin will Take You Farther Than You Wanted Or Intended to Stray. It Will Keep You Longer Than You Wanted to Stay! It Will Cost You More Than You Wanted to Pay! It Will Leave You Feeling So Lost, You’ll Think You Can Never Find Your Way!
This document discusses the dangers of sin and outlines three things that sin will do based on the biblical account of King David's sin with Bathsheba. It states that sin will: 1) take you farther than you intended to go, 2) keep you longer than you want to stay, and 3) cost you more than you want to pay. It uses David as an example to show how his single sin led to unforeseen and severe consequences for him and his household. The document warns that anyone can fall into sin and urges readers to avoid sinful behaviors and dwell on God's word instead.
This document discusses the concept of sin and its origins according to Christian theology. It states that while God created humans with free will, the first humans Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit. This original sin separated humanity from God and introduced sin into the world. Now all humans are born sinners according to scripture. It also discusses how God hates sin but loves sinners, and that the only solution is forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
This document discusses biblical principles of health and lifestyle. It covers several topics:
1) Dietary principles from Genesis showing God's original diet for man and changes after sin. It discusses clean and unclean meats.
2) The health effects of alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, and other drugs. They cloud judgment and are damaging to the body.
3) Principles of a healthy lifestyle including nutrition, exercise, water, sunshine, temperance, air, rest, and trust in God.
4) Discussions of prenatal influences on children, advising mothers to avoid excess and indulge appetites during pregnancy for the child's health.
1) The document discusses the serious and deadly nature of sin, noting that sin separates us from God.
2) It explains that sin comes from three sources: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
3) The solution to sin is found in Jesus, who died to pay for our sins so that through repentance and baptism, we can receive forgiveness and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Original sin comes from Adam and Eve's disobedience in the Garden of Eden. As their descendants, all people are born sinful and unable to fulfill God's perfect standards. God holds everyone accountable for their sinful nature and falling short of his expectations. The consequences for sin are death and hell. However, Jesus came to save sinners and restore their relationship with God by forgiving sins through his sacrifice on the cross. Believers can have eternal life through faith in Christ rather than facing damnation under their own sin.
This document is a summary of a bible study talk about different types of guilt. It discusses biblical guilt, emotional guilt, true guilt based on facts, and false guilt based on feelings. False guilt is not from God and can be used by Satan to blackmail believers. The talk encourages dealing with false guilt by relying on scriptures affirming that God wants believers to be completely free from both true and false guilt through Jesus' atoning work on the cross.

God's Grace in Action - Sugar, The Choice of Drug among ChristiansGenerational Autonomy
This document discusses the importance of self-control and honoring God with one's body. It argues that just as Christians teach against immorality, we should also teach about maintaining healthy eating habits and avoiding sugar addiction. The grace of God calls us to say no to ungodliness and live self-controlled lives so that we can bear fruit for God and not have our lives cut short by diseases like diabetes.
The document discusses several topics related to human behavior and how to improve oneself spiritually. It describes how perspective, desires and values systems influence behavior. It also outlines three problems - selfishness, arrogance and hurtfulness - that drive thoughts and actions. Additionally, it recommends forgiving others, walking in the spirit through prayer, scripture, fellowship and ministry, and avoiding "banana peels" like judgmental thoughts. The overall message is about understanding human psychology and strengthening one's spiritual life.
Sin originated with Lucifer's pride and rebellion against God in heaven. Lucifer attempted to dethrone God and establish himself as equal to God, which was the first sin. When humans sinned by disobeying God in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the world. The Bible defines sin as anything that goes against God's will, standards or laws. There are sins of commission by doing what is wrong, and sins of omission by not doing what is right. All humans sin and fall short of God's glory. The nature of sin is that it defiles, is rebellion against God, and shows ingratitude despite all God provides.

Worry Stress & Anxiety... What the Bible says about itSwordSharp Studios
The document discusses how to avoid worry, stress, and anxiety by seeking God first through prayer, reading scripture, pursuing righteousness, and trusting that God will provide for all needs. It explains that Jesus told his followers not to worry about basic necessities like food and clothing but to make God and his kingdom their top priority. When facing difficulties, believers are instructed to pray, read the Bible, do God's will, and have faith in his provision rather than prioritizing their problems.
Why does God allow Bad things to happen to Good people?SwordSharp Studios
God allows bad things to happen to good people for several reasons:
1) He gives humans free will to choose good or evil and holds them accountable for their actions, not preventing all bad acts.
2) The reasons for natural disasters or personal tragedies are not always known or understandable, as in the story of Job.
3) In some cases, like Jesus, bad things happened to fulfill God's purposes, such as bringing salvation.
4) While on earth, believers may face trials, but God promises eternal life without suffering for those who accept Christ.
Today's American Christians typically fall into one of these two categories. Which side are you on? How can you make sure you're on the right side? Find out here!

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.
