refers to the practice of a law firm
or corporation obtaining legal
support services from an outside
law firm or legal support services
company.
Research has indicated that LPO is
an effective way to meet the
demands of the growing market and
ever changing industry conditions.
The global LPO industry was
estimated to be USD 1,085 million in
2012. According to studies it is
expected to reach USD 8,568.5 million
by 2020, growing at a Compound
Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 29.6%
from 2014 to 2020.

diversified private investment firm, which in
turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of National
Industries Group Holding, S.A.K. (‘NIG’), a
Kuwait based publicly listed financial and
industrial investment holding company, with
over USD 5 Billion in assets.
Ironwood is Sri Lanka’s first BOI approved
LPO and was launched in January 2015.

operations with 12 Srilankan attorneys
and has grown to 21 attorneys today.
These professionals are qualified

requisite training in the Common Law
system. The team members hold LLB
and LLM degrees awarded by top

Federal Express Corporation), Brandix Lanka
Group having started his career at Ernst and

• Ravi has a distinguished track record in the
financial and IT/BPM sector having established
highly successful companies from inception in Sri
Lanka.

Managing Director of Copal Amba – a market
leader in the research and analytics offshoring
space with over 200 institutional clients, now
owned by Moody’s; and Hayleys Business.
Solutions International – a Sri Lanka based
Financial Accounting Outsourcing and shared
service firm catering to a wide spectrum of local
and international clientele.
• He was also - Former President of the IT Enabled
Services Association of Sri Lanka and - Former
Vice President of SLASSCOM - Sri Lanka’s national
association for software and IT enabled services

Institute of Management Accountants, UK, and a
Chartered Financial Analyst and has an MBA from
Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.

• Over 18 years of diverse global legal experience in
the domains of Legal Process Outsourcing, Litigation,
Real Estate, Mortgage, Debt Recovery, Banking and
Gaming Sectors.
• Prior to joining Ironwood, Rajesh was the Associate
General Counsel of O’Connor & Associates, Texas
and heading their offshore legal operations at their
captive center at India.
• Has held Senior Corporate Legal positions at Bally
Technologies Inc, Clutch Group Legal Solutions,
Dhanlaxmi Bank and has broad Legal Outsourcing
experience.
• Has extensive experience working with Law firms
and General Counsels in the US, UK and Asian
Countries.
• Has led large teams of over 100 lawyers and
groomed and mentored junior attorneys.
• Has expertise in various legal services ranging from
litigation e-discovery, litigation documentation,
contract management, legal research and regulatory
compliances.
• Holds a Gold Medal at Bachelors of Law from
Bharathiar University and a Master’s of Law
(Contract Law) from Annamalai University, India.

Currently Head of International Business for Eagle Proprietary
Investments Ltd (EPIL) where he focuses on new investments, strategic
partnerships, and manages the firm’s international investments portfolio.
Prior to Eagle, Deval was at DLB Capital (Private Equity firm) where he
was a Vice President and the firm’s leader in deal execution, Middle East
investor relations, Shari’a compliant investing, and Portfolio Company
monitoring and at First Light Financial (Hedge Fund) as a Senior Associate
where he actively managed 13 portfolio companies aggregating $80MM
of exposure across various industries. Deval began his career in
Investment Banking at Citigroup.
Deval is also a Board Member or Board Observer in the following
companies: China Rapid Finance, Ironwood Legal Solutions, Asset
Vantage Systems, Accordion International, and Shanghai Harvest
Network Technology. Deval received his Bachelor of Science degree in
Finance from Boston College. He was also a finance major in the General
Course program at the London School of Economics.
Twenty-two years of experience in the Financial Services industry, eight
years of which have been with Eagle Proprietary Investments Limited
(EPIL) and Eagle Investments Limited (EIL) as a COO. Setup Eagle
Proprietary Investments Limited in 2008 in the DIFC in Dubai, UAE.
Fourteen years of diverse experience with Citigroup in the area of
Compliance, Risk, Operation Management, Matrix Management,
Business Systems & Technology and People Management. Played a lead
role as part of the Senior Management team that started and built the
Citibank Kuwait Franchise.
Director on the Board of Candor Equities Limited, Candor Asset
Management (Private) Limited, Candor Capital (Private) Limited and
