5. Before a call can be made on the Iridium
Satellite Phone , the Satphone antenna must
have a clear view of the sky. Power of the
Satphone by pressing the round button
located on top of the p hone. It is important
to note, if the phone fail to power on, ensure
the battery is seated properly by pressing
firmly on the battery itself. This seats the o-
ring seal into the sim reader compartment.

Entend the antenna and rotate
antenna tip. The antenna tip will
rotate 45 degrees in either direction.
Important to note stow antenna with
tip in “up” position only and do not
spin or rotate entire antenna- this will
damage device and make it unusable.
Wait for satphone to register. The
display will indicate “Registered”.
Do not attempt to place a call if the
Satphone does not register and have
signal bars. Optimal signal strength is
3 bars or more, this will shown in the
upper left corner of the display.
