2. General information
iPos is an point-of sales (POS) system developed for the hospitality industry, based upon a
web-application. iPos can be used as the main POS system or as an mobile POS system.
Software
The iPos software contains:
- Financial program
- Database
- Communication program
iPos communicates with the web-server via internet
On a web-server, the user interface is installed.
Hardware
The iPos software should be installed on a Windows PC, or Apple MAC running in
Windows mode.

Devices
iPos is designed to work on three different devices:
Mobile devices: iPod, iPhone, Samung Touch, HTC Touch
iPad
PC with touchscreen monitor (Multi-touch screens are preferred). Only in the Chrome- and
Safari browser
The interface of the iPad and PC are similar, and are different from the mobile device.
Infrastructure
Windows PC should be connected to an stable internet connection
iPod communication via WifFi
iPhone | iPad communication via WiFi or 3G
In Chrome- or Safari browser on PC, communication via internet.
Printing
All printers installed under OS Windows are supported
Cash-drawers connected to ticket-printers are supported
Per ticket (kitchen-, bar-, guest-, report print) a different printer can be selected
Per area (terras, bar, conference room, etc) another printer choise -per ticket- can be
selected
Reports can be sent via e-mail.

3. Installation and support
Installation of the iPos software is on-line
Support: on-line
For installation and support we need to have access to the Windows computer.
Remote access by www.logmein.com and support by telephone Skype.
Tickets
Within iPos there are different kind of tickets with specific characteristics
Standard tickets
Cash tickets
Per device an unique cash-ticket is made | available
Cash ticket will refresh automatically after payment (for high speed cash transaction)
Own use. These ticket will not influence the sales or cash amount, but will
only influence the stock amount
Representation. Same functionality as own use
Damage. Same functionality as own use
Special tickets
Within iPos there are 4 tickets with their own price. If an special ticket name is used and the
price for that ticket name is filled into the database then this price is leading. If the price is
not filled then the standard price is leading. Special tickets names are:
