Realization of ofdm based underwater acoustic communicationeSAT Journals
Abstract Nowadays underwater communication plays a vital role in applications from commercial extends to military purposes. Present underwater communication systems involve the transmission of information in the form of sound, electromagnetic (EM), or optical waves. All these techniques has their own benefits and limitations. Acoustic communication is the most versatile and widely used technique in underwater environments because of its low attenuation compared with others. Acoustic waves are more applicable for thermally stable, deep water settings. But acoustic waves in shallow water can be adversely affected by temperature gradients, surface ambient noise, and multipath propagation due to reflection and refraction. The much slower speed of acoustic propagation in water, about 1500 m/s (meters per second), compared with that of electromagnetic and optical waves, and is another limiting factor for efficient communication and networking. Nevertheless, the currently favorable technology for underwater communication is upon acoustics. In this paper, we are planning to design a simple underwater acoustic system. We first discuss about the problems of underwater communication. Then we are designing a data transmission system in underwater and its analysis is done in the next step. Keywords: Underwater acoustic communication, Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, Differential phase shift keying

This document outlines plans for the Sunset Cove Salt Marsh Restoration project located in Broad Channel, Queens. The project goals are to restore 3-5 acres of salt marsh and 7-9 acres of coastal upland to increase storm resiliency and improve the health of Jamaica Bay. Phase 1 has a budget of $7 million from government grants to remove contaminated soil and debris, construct a tidal channel and berm, and plant marsh grasses. Upon completion, the 12-acre restored salt marsh will provide habitat and an opportunity for education.
This thesis investigates using truncated non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) and discrete wavelet transform (DWT) as techniques for privacy-preserving data mining. The thesis assesses the privacy and utility of the perturbed data. For privacy, it uses existing metrics to measure the privacy after perturbation. For utility, it uses the accuracy of a k-nearest neighbor classifier on the perturbed data. Experimental results on real datasets show that these techniques improve both privacy and classification accuracy compared to the original data. The thesis also explores adding sparseness constraints to NMF and handling negative values. It further investigates estimating the original data values from the perturbed data using Bayesian estimation.
This poster summarizes the key elements of a movie poster for "The Hunger Games". It features an image of all the main characters to appeal to both male and female audiences. As a teaser poster, it does not include the release date to hint at the upcoming film without revealing details. The target audience is described as unisex teenagers aged 16-23 who would enjoy the violence of the films.
10 More than a Pretty Picture: Visual Thinking in Network Studiesdnac
Visualization has been important in network science since its beginnings to make invisible structures visible. While metrics can describe networks, visualizations allow researchers to see relationships and patterns across multiple dimensions that numbers alone cannot reveal. Effective network visualizations communicate insights that would be difficult to understand otherwise, by depicting global patterns and local details simultaneously in a way that builds intuition about the network's structure and generating processes. However, challenges include lack of consistent display frameworks, integrating too much multidimensional information, and issues of scale for large and dynamic networks.
1) Police Officer Smith detains and interrogates Jeremiah James outside a grocery store on suspicion of theft, though the store owner admitted being mistaken. Smith threatens and intimidates James.
2) Rookie officer Taylor arrives and questions the lack of evidence against James. Taylor suggests Smith let James go, but Smith refuses and promises to fabricate charges.
3) The interaction escalates as Smith's biases against James' race become clear. Taylor convinces Smith to charge James with public urination instead of fabricated charges. Smith takes James into custody.
Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and menopause are conditions that affect women. PMS involves cyclic symptoms like mood changes that occur in the week before a woman's period. It is caused by changes in estrogen and progesterone levels. Treatment may include lifestyle changes, antidepressants, or hormonal birth control. Menopause is when periods stop permanently due to low estrogen levels. It causes symptoms like hot flashes and vaginal dryness. Hormone replacement therapy can relieve symptoms but also has risks, so non-hormonal options are also used.
Translation , Transcription and TransductionMicrobiology
Translation is the process by which messenger RNA (mRNA) is used to produce proteins. It occurs in three main steps: initiation, elongation, and termination. During initiation, the ribosome assembles on the mRNA. In elongation, transfer RNAs (tRNAs) bring amino acids to the ribosome according to the mRNA codons, linking the amino acids into a polypeptide chain. In termination, a stop codon signals the ribosome to release the full protein. Translation allows genes encoded in DNA to be expressed as functional proteins through reading of mRNA templates.
The document discusses the literary device of personification through examples from books, movies, advertisements, poems, and more. It provides tasks and prompts for students to think about animals, objects, and concepts given human attributes and qualities. Students are asked to identify examples of personification, analyze how countries and concepts are personified, and create their own personified drawings and advertisements.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
Communicating effectively and consistently with students can help them feel at ease during their learning experience and provide the instructor with a communication trail to track the course's progress.
