The document announces a workshop on using Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) for fire and evacuation modeling to be held in Stockholm on April 26, 2017. Participants are invited to register for the Nordic FDS user group and submit abstracts for 15-20 minute presentations by April 1. An optional pre-workshop reception will be held the evening of April 25. The workshop will run from 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-15:30 with a provided lunch in between, and will include discussions on using FDS and the Nordic FDS user group.

The purpose of the Workshop is to promote an active discussion regarding how to use
the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) for modelling of fires and evacuation. To be a part of
the Nordic FDS user group please register at www.shareideas.de/ (this is not mandatory
for participation in the workshop).
The language of the workshop will be English.
You are invited to submit a title and a short abstract if you want to do a presentation
at the workshop. Please submit this to robert.mcnamee@brandskyddslaget.se no later
than April 1, 2017. Presentations will be 15-20 minutes long depending on the amounts
of abstracts submitted. We look forward to good discussions!
On the evening of April 25 there will be a pre-workshop reception at Brandskyddslagets
office. To attend the pre-workshop reception and the workshop please email
robert.mcnamee@brandskyddslaget.se no later than April 17, 2017. Include
in the email if you are participating in both activities or only the workshop.
