Casual game on social network and mobile devices are estimated to contribute to 50% of total gaming industry. South East Asia is one of the emerging markets with large mobile population and players. But is it ready for investment? What are the challenges and how each countries differ?

The USAID-funded Umbrella Grants Management (UGM) program in South Africa is a five-year, $91 million program that will end in 2013. The project provides comprehensive grants management to support service scale-up under PEPFAR goals, and administers technical assistance and funding to USAID-selected non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The UGM team has provided customized capacity building support and tools to 10 indigenous South African organizations and three U.S.-based groups working in HIV prevention, care, and treatment.

Many nonprofits use earned income as a source of revenue generation. For example, it was estimated in 2008 that nearly 70% of the $1.4 trillion generated by nonprofits came from the sale of goods and services. However, despite its long-standing, common use in the nonprofit sector, the area of earned income for nonprofits is often wrought with misconceptions and misunderstandings which can lead to untapped sources of revenue or unknowingly jeopardizing the organization’s exempt status. Especially in light of current economic challenges facing the nonprofit sector, nonprofits should become familiar with the basic principles related to earned income to best help their organizations more effectively further their missions
If a retailer does not recognize the changing dynamics of the consumer; how they will shop and connect with brands in the future, they will not just be punished; they will be punished with impunity.
