Bottle I (7 days), Bottle II (14 days), and Bottle III (21 days) each contained 25g of jam and 1g of potassium bisulphate and were observed over time at room temperature. Bottle I showed no change after 7 days. Bottle II developed a changed taste after 14 days. Bottle III showed no change in taste but an unpleasant smell developed after 21 days, demonstrating that the quality of the jam deteriorates the longer it is kept at room temperature.
