Inverses The inverse of a function is the function flipped about the line y=x
The red graph shows the inverse to the blue graph (the dotted green line shows the line y=x)
To find the inverse of a function  You switch the variables x and y Then you solve for y
When solving for an inverse Make sure to remember plus and minuses When you find a function’s inverse often the resulting graph is not a function so you must remember all of the parts of the graph
