This document provides an introduction to four global asset classes: stocks, forex, futures, and options. It discusses that the forex market involves measuring currency values against each other, trades 24/7, and has the largest daily trading volume of any market. Examples of major currency pairs are provided. Stocks represent ownership in companies and trade on exchanges, while futures involve contracts between buyers and sellers mainly through the CME, such as for stock indexes and currencies. Options provide future contracts for various markets.
