7. Butokuden/Kendo temple
Not far from the dormitory lies the
Butokuden, built in 1930, which was once
widely established during Japanese colonial
period starKng from 1895 to train soldiers
and police men. Butokuden was designed in
Japanese shrine style so as to follow the
Japanese Kme.
8. Retrieval
Despite the fact that Butokuden was
rarely seen in Longtan, it has been
uKlized as office for police staKon and
local health bureau for years. The
Butokuden is finally transformed into a
place for community acKviKes and
learning for the locals in Longtan.
9. Rebirth
2013 the preparatory station for Longtan Literature
Pavilion was established.
2015 the official name was temporarily set to be Zhong,
Zhaozheng literary Park
2016 BOT public hearing for Zhong, Zhaozheng literary
Park was held on August 20
2017 Renovation began on February 18.

11. Searching for guts
All the way down south from Zhaozheng
Zhong literary Park, visitors can make a
brief stop at Wu, zhuoliu memorial hall in
Hsinchu then arrive at Li, Qiao literary Park.
