This document introduces a philosophy lesson that aims to help students understand what philosophy is by examining some of life's big questions. The lesson objectives are to define philosophy, provide reasons for students' views on big questions, and think about their own beliefs on the existence of God. Students will explore questions like how the world began and whether God exists by studying the work of philosophers like Plato and Aristotle and arguments for and against the existence of God. As a task, students will fill out a worksheet with their initial thoughts on the big questions and questions of their own.
