Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

- 2. Welcome back everybody. I think I remember all the names I am seeing in the course so far, but just in case, here is are something you’ll find out about me: I love orange. Got my B.S in Maritime Studies @ S.U.N.Y Maritime. Taught ESL in South Korea for 3 years. And I am getting much better at power point.
- 3. Teaching Earth Science at the H.S for Law in the MLK Educational Complex. Full-time, 2 sections & 2 labs. 9th and 10th grade mixed class. - 4. Relaxed but structured classroom works best for me. I always try to incorporate group work into my classes. 59 minute periods make this possible. I always try to incorporate group work for about 30 minutes. My excitement about the subject sparks some of theirs. Always tweaking lessons and professionally developing.
- 5. Research project will include the use of a presentation software, the library, and the internet. An outdoor survival narrative theme affords me real life applications.
