2. Points to consider while sending intra
oral photographs and x rays
• While taking the photograph, make sure the
flash is on or in a well lit and illuminated place
• The photo should be taken as close to the
tooth as possible but still not blurring it.
• While taking a snap of the x ray, make sure it is
held against the screen monitor with a white
background or bright light.
3. • Here are some samples of the photographs sent
by patients like you.
• This will give us an insight and we will be able to
compare your IOPAs(intra oral periapical
radiographs) /FMX (Full mouth x rays)/
OPG(orthopantomograph)/ PANO/ Panoromic x
ray since these are 2- dimensional X-rays.
• If possible, we request you to take a CBCT scan
(Cone Beam CT). This will give us a 3-D picture of
your jaw.
