 Dynatron Services Pvt. Ltd. was established in 1985 for marketing and after-sales-support for Diesel
Engines, Gear Transmissions, Electronic Control and Monitoring Systems.
 The company has Regional offices located at New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Goa,
Karwar and Port Blair.
 The company established its branch at Karwar in 2014.

flight deck and facilities for carrying ,arming, deploying and recovering aircraft.
 Typically it is the capital ship of fleet , as it allows a naval force to project air power world wide
without depending on local bases for staging aircraft operations.

 A lathe is a machine tool which is used to rotate a work piece to perform various operations such as
turning, facing, knurling, grooving etc.
 It removes the undesired material from a rotating workpiece in the form of chips with the help of a
tool that is traversed across the work and can be feed deep into the work.

 A drilling machine is primarily utilized for drilling holes of different sizes and precise depths on the
surface of an object.
 A drilling machine can even perform several other functions such as tapping, reaming, counter
sinking, spot facing, counter boring, etc.
 It is commonly referred as a drill press; and has the capacity to drill very tiny holes and also extremely
large holes.

 Slotting is a reciprocating type of machine tool in which the ram that holds the tool moves in the
vertical axis.
 In the slotting machine the ram reciprocates in the vertical direction.
 The cutting action in the slotting takes place during the downward stroke of the ram, and there is no
cutting in the return stroke and called an idle stroke.

 Grinder, is one of power tools or machine tools used for grinding, it is a type of machining using
an abrasive wheel as the cutting tool.
 Each grain of abrasive on the wheel's surface cuts a small chip from the workpiece via shear deformation.
 Grinding is used to finish workpieces that must show high surface quality (e.g., low surface roughness)
and high accuracy of shape and dimension.

 A bandsaw is a power saw with a long, sharp blade consisting of a continuous band of toothed
metal stretched between two or more wheels to cut material.
 They are used principally in woodworking, metalworking, and lumbering, but may cut a variety
of materials.
These are used to measure various aspect such as clearance, diameter, depth, flatness etc.
This following are the various instruments used :-

4. DIAL GAUGE

Different Types Of Pumps We Observed In The Industry Are:-
1. GEAR PUMP
2. SCREW PUMP
3. CENTRIFUGAL PUMP
Gear Pump:
 A gear pump is a type of positive displacement (PD) pump. Gear pumps use the actions of rotating
cogs or gears to transfer fluids.
Screw Pump:
 A screw pump is a subset of positive displacement pump that use one or more than one screw; to
perform pump action along its spindle axis.
Centrifugal Pump:
 Centrifugal pumps are one of the most commonly used pumps on the earth with ever growing
applications. They are simple and reliable machine of any machinery space.
Shifting is a process of moving parts from one location to another location.
This following are the various equipment's used in Shifting :
1.Chain Pulley Block
Chain blocks are used extensively to move heavy loads through chain pulling.
Most chain blocks are operated by hand, lever blocks are operated by pulling
a manual lever
2. Rope
Rope is a thick cord or wire that is made by twisting together several thinner
cords or wires.Ropes are used for pulling and tying.
3.Trolley
It is a equipment on wheels that is used for carrying things from one place to another place.
Problem Identification
 Leaks
 Corrosion
 Unusual noise
 Vibration
Servicing
 Disconnect power supply wires and motor.
 Disassemble the pump casing
 Clean all the physical parts of pump.
 Inspecting impeller blades, casing for signs of erosion and wear.
 Check all bearings for wear and change if required.
 Using feeler gauge check for clearances.
 Check for uneven movement of the shaft.
 Assembly.
Gaskets & glands used in valves:
 A Gasket is an elastomeric component that covers the intersection between two surfaces. They
are usually manufactured from a variety of materials, including rubber, cork or paper, metal,
copper, and foam.
Hydrostatic Test Pump:
 Hydro test pumps are common procedure used to check fluid pressure vessel, such as, cylinders,
boiler, tubes pipe, valves, castings, components etc.
Technical Outcomes:
 Understanding working various Machine.
 Understanding the different component of Ship and learning the advantages and disadvantages of
each.
 Learning the basics maintenance process.
 Application of academic knowledge in industrial works.
Non Technical Outcomes:
 This internship helped me enhance my communication skills.
 Develop time management skills.
 Improved my writing ability.
 Understand the interactions between different departments and also between workers and managers.
 Learning to work in a group to achieve a common goal.

  • 6.  Wear protective equipment.  Always be alert and awake.  Follow correct procedures, don’t take shortcuts.  Clean and organize your workplace.  Ensure a clear and easy route to emergency exits and equipment.  All metallic covers over electrical machinery or control equipment should be properly earthed.  Underground cables/wires should be safe from mechanical damage or exposure to excessive moisture.

Fig. Lathe Machine  A lathe is a machine tool which is used to rotate a work piece to perform various operations such as turning, facing, knurling, grooving etc.  It removes the undesired material from a rotating workpiece in the form of chips with the help of a tool that is traversed across the work and can be feed deep into the work.

Fig. Radial Drilling Machine  A drilling machine is primarily utilized for drilling holes of different sizes and precise depths on the surface of an object.  A drilling machine can even perform several other functions such as tapping, reaming, counter sinking, spot facing, counter boring, etc.  It is commonly referred as a drill press; and has the capacity to drill very tiny holes and also extremely large holes.

Fig. Slotting Machine  Slotting is a reciprocating type of machine tool in which the ram that holds the tool moves in the vertical axis.  In the slotting machine the ram reciprocates in the vertical direction.  The cutting action in the slotting takes place during the downward stroke of the ram, and there is no cutting in the return stroke and called an idle stroke.

  • 17. Gear Pump:  A gear pump is a type of positive displacement (PD) pump. Gear pumps use the actions of rotating cogs or gears to transfer fluids.
  • 18. Screw Pump:  A screw pump is a subset of positive displacement pump that use one or more than one screw; to perform pump action along its spindle axis. Centrifugal Pump:  Centrifugal pumps are one of the most commonly used pumps on the earth with ever growing applications. They are simple and reliable machine of any machinery space.
  • 19. Shifting is a process of moving parts from one location to another location. This following are the various equipment's used in Shifting : 1.Chain Pulley Block Chain blocks are used extensively to move heavy loads through chain pulling. Most chain blocks are operated by hand, lever blocks are operated by pulling a manual lever 2. Rope Rope is a thick cord or wire that is made by twisting together several thinner cords or wires.Ropes are used for pulling and tying.

Problem Identification  Leaks  Corrosion  Unusual noise  Vibration Servicing  Disconnect power supply wires and motor.  Disassemble the pump casing  Clean all the physical parts of pump.  Inspecting impeller blades, casing for signs of erosion and wear.  Check all bearings for wear and change if required.  Using feeler gauge check for clearances.  Check for uneven movement of the shaft.  Assembly.
  • 22. Gaskets & glands used in valves:  A Gasket is an elastomeric component that covers the intersection between two surfaces. They are usually manufactured from a variety of materials, including rubber, cork or paper, metal, copper, and foam. Hydrostatic Test Pump:  Hydro test pumps are common procedure used to check fluid pressure vessel, such as, cylinders, boiler, tubes pipe, valves, castings, components etc.

Technical Outcomes:  Understanding working various Machine.  Understanding the different component of Ship and learning the advantages and disadvantages of each.  Learning the basics maintenance process.  Application of academic knowledge in industrial works. Non Technical Outcomes:  This internship helped me enhance my communication skills.  Develop time management skills.  Improved my writing ability.  Understand the interactions between different departments and also between workers and managers.  Learning to work in a group to achieve a common goal.
