This document provides an analysis of internet usage trends in Russia based on data from the gemiusAudience study from February 2010. Some of the key findings include:
- Yandex dominates the Russian search engine market with over 80% reach compared to Google at under 50%. Yandex's reach has grown while Google's has declined in recent years.
- VKontakte has become the leading social network in Russia with over 50% reach, surpassing Odnoklassniki. Facebook remains much smaller with under 10% reach.
- Skype is the dominant messaging platform in Russia with over 30% reach, followed by ICQ at around 25%.
