This document summarizes the findings of a survey on the status of hospitality management education in Karnataka. The survey focused on student perceptions of hospitality as a career and their views on industry aspects and college education. It collected feedback through questionnaires at selected colleges. Key findings included student reasons for joining hospitality programs, awareness of industry subdivisions, popular courses, and views on curriculum, teaching quality, and training methods. Suggestions are provided to improve education quality, such as increasing industry interface, practical classes, and mandatory hotel attachments. The conclusion states that industry and institutions must work together to fulfill needs and reduce gaps in skilled labor supply.
