Alex Villanueva interned at Mission Control over the summer of 2016. Through surveying current users, feedback was received that the existing flight plan tool was not providing complete or accurate enough information for leadership decision making and could be improved in formatting. The goal was then set to visualize impacting projects across the company on a national and local scale, including details on impact, complexity, trends and summaries to provide totals. Next steps included training materials, various marketing practices, leveraging communication platforms, and conducting roadshows to educate users on the value of the improved interactive flight plan tool.
