INTEGRITY
IS EVERYTHING
At a personal level:- Can I trust you?
For a corporation:- Can we (Stakeholders) trust you?
WHAT IS INTEGRITY?
The word integrity evolved from the Latin adjective integer,
meaning whole or complete…
deriving from qualities such as honesty and consistency of character.
To "have integrity" is to act in accordance with your values, beliefs
and principles they claim to hold.
IN’ TEGRITI LATIN ORIGIN
Who do you admire?
IT IS ALL ABOUT “TRUST”
………which bind me to you and the Corporation to other Stakeholders.
Integrity and Trust are interwoven themes which dictate everything we do and say.
Without Trust, the effectiveness of business is compromised:
the crucial “emotional glue” between Colleagues, Customers and Suppliers is
compromised or lost.
IF I TRUST YOU,
YOU ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS…….
………..they are self aware and genuine.
They build honest relationships -
Their value set is strong and is underscored by
a firm ethical foundation.
Generally, authentic leaders are positive people
with truthful self-concepts
who promote openness.
AND BE AN “AUTHENTIC LEADER”….
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
WHAT DOES INTEGRITY MEAN……
An “integrity crisis” impacts investor and consumer confidence
It creates risks for regulatory filings
Affects employee “morale” and productivity
May lead to criminal or civil prosecution
Hampers talent development and recruitment
Creates a disastrous “brand-killing” slide
To be a great, sustainable business (which exceeds expectations),
we need to prove to the Public and key Stakeholders that we are honest, decisive
and committed to effectively dealing with difficult issues.
WHAT DOES A “CRISIS” IN INTEGRITY LEAD TO?
WHAT CAN HAPPEN IN AN INTEGRITY LAPSE
You have to have vision.
It’s got to be a vision you articulate clearly and forcefully on every occasion.
You can’t blow an “uncertain trumpet”.
WHAT LEGACY DO YOU WISH TO LEAVE?
