The Policyholders' Preference And Satisfaction Towards Life Insurance Corpora...inventionjournals
: Gradually, the market share of private insurers went up and till financial year 2012-2013 reached
as high as 42%. The market share of LIC decreased after the entry of private insurers but it doesn’t mean that
the growth of LIC got down. LIC continues its growth even after a cut throat competition from the private
players. On the demand side, growth is being fuelled by the growing population base, rising purchasing power,
increased insurance awareness, increased domestic savings and rising financial literacy. The suppliers are
correspondingly playing a market making role as competition intensifies and differentiation become necessary
for profitable growth. Life Insurance Corporation of India offer innovative products to attract further business
from both existing and new policyholders. In this regard the researcher is interested to undertake a study on the
policyholders’ preference and satisfaction with regard to Life Insurance Corporation of India’s policies.
A Cashless Economy Challenges and Opportunitiesijtsrd
Going cashless not only eases one’s life but also helps authenticate and formalize the transactions that are done. This helps to curb corruption and the flow of black money which results in an increase of economic growth. The expenditure incurred in printing and transportation of currency note is reduced. In a nation like India, cashless transactions are not widespread, and this is due to the technology gap and the lack of proper awareness and education. Though these are the matters of concern, the government or the financial institution need to address them to create a strong cashless economy. Insurance is deemed as an unsought product which consumers actively do not show interest in
buying. Either they are forced to buy the product (in case of vehicles
insurance) or they are to be educated about the importance and advantages of buying it.
Bangladesh, being a third world country, has a very low rate of insurance due to being unaware
about the importance of it. Bangladesh is the most under insured country in the non-life insurance
category, standing to lose as much as 0.8 percent of GDP from natural disasters a year, said Lloyd's
of London, one of the leading insurance market places in the world. To shed a bit
more light into it, Bangladesh had the largest insurance gap among the 43 countries covered in
the report standing at 5.5 Billion USD or in other words, only 2.1% of the total GDP. Per head
insurance premium is only $8 which just states that it is safe to say that maximum people in
Bangladesh don’t possess any kind of insurance. So, the operation of insurance companies in
Bangladesh is a bit critical and tougher because they also have to make people aware about
insurance.

This is attributed in partly to the fact that this FTA is restricted to ‘Goods’ where India’s manufacturing sector is not able to capitalise and partly due to lower duties offered by ASEAN to China, through the China-ASEAN FTA.

A descriptive study design was carried out to assess the knowledge, awareness, and perception of an insured person about health insurance in a tertiary care hospital. A well-framed structured questionnaire was administered to the opinions of the 384 respondents (insured and uninsured), out of which 92% are insured and only 8% are uninsured. Only a few (12%) of insured do not know how much policy coverage is there for hospital charges and 27% of insured have chosen health insurance policy in order to avail good quality treatment. The result clearly shows that most people are not that aware of the process of initiating cashless hospitalization. Hence the insurance companies, third-party administrators, and the hospital must work in synergy.

STUDY ON MODELLING OF POLICYHOLDER BEHAVIOUR FOR LIFE INSURANCE IN ERODEJournal For Research
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is the India’s largest Life Insurance Company. LIC has acquired monopoly power in the solicitation and sale of Life Insurance Policies in India. LIC has registered a six per cent increase in market share to 78 percent during the current financial year. LIC's market share at the end of March 31, 2014, had stood at 72 per cent of all new policies sold during the last financial year (2013-14). The combined market share of 23 Private Life Insurance Companies has 22 per cent during the current fiscal, according to the latest figures. LIC has 53 products in his portfolio and sold around 80 lakh policies till the end of July 2014. LIC has set the new target of Rs. 54000 crores as a first premium income for 2015-16. LIC has a 78 per cent share because the private sector companies focus more on big ticket premiums, while LIC offers at a minimum premium of Rs 250 with life insurance value of Rs 30,000. This enables the public sector company to achieve the social objective of taking its insurance cover to a wider range of the country's population. LIC also has the lowest outstanding claims ratio. LIC had settled 99.8 per cent of death claims while the Private Sector Companies had settled 96.8 per cent of such claims. In this research paper we studied Customer Satisfaction towards Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), because Consumer Satisfaction is the first step to Achieve Consumer Loyalty. If the customers of Life Insurance Corporation are Satisfied and Happy then and then only they may be Loyal to the LIC. For this research Primary Data was collected from the various customers of Life Insurance Corporation of India. For data collection designed Questionnaire was distributed and collected from the respondents.
The insurance companies have to ensure quality products at a competitive price. Companies can
lower the price of the product by reducing the cost. Their survival depends upon their policy-holders. The
policy-holders become confident of not losing much when an accident or uncertainty takes place. On the
report of the insured about an accident the company officials send surveyors to assess the loss caused to
the policy-holders. However, as several of the insurance providers are international companies having
made their presence felt in several countries, the service provided by them is a reflection of the experience
gained by them across the globe, and in that sense, the findings may be generalised to a great extent.

The study is taken up because of a huge number of start-ups entering into the Healthcare Services Industry.
The curiosity to know about the factor(s) which influence the user to use a particular website and perceive a particular service to be the basic necessity led us to make use of factor analysis.
The study shows that even though a large majority of Indians are unaware of these services or have not availed it yet, the future for these services looks promising as a large percentage of people have shown their willingness in availing these services.
I hope that this study would benefit the healthcare start-ups to provide a better solution to the existential problems and eventually benefiting the people at large.
A Study on Factors Influencing Customers to Prefer the Policies of Life Insur...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
The policyholders once when they become a part of
the LIC feel free about the safety of their wards since it takes
care of fixed financial benefits based on the premium and the
type of the policy the opted for . The families of the nonpolicyholders meet out uncertainty in many cases. So, there is
an attraction towards life insurance and concern and
awareness about the industry is also improving. People who
care much about them and their families hold life insurance.
The tastes and preferences of policyholders not the same. The
LIC of India has been introducing variety of policies based on
the preferences of the policyholders. It is observed that many
policyholders have taken more than one policy based on their
job nature and family members interest. It is a clear
indication that they are very much interested in utilizing
maximum benefits from Insurance companies. Some people
give due importance to money value and high returns on their
investments. But greater risks are inherent advantages
expected from LIC products. The present study emphasis the
factors influencing customers to prefer the policies of life
insurance of India in Palakkad District.
Study of Investors’ Preference for the Selection of an Insurance ProductDr. Amarjeet Singh
Human Being’s life is the most significant asset and life-insurance is the most significant sort of insurance which gives financial protection to theindividualhimself/herself and to his family at the hour of dubious dangers or harm. Life insurance gives both safety and protection to people and furthermore encourages investment funds among individuals. The present exploratory based investigation was chosen with a target to analyze those factors which impact client’s strategy purchasing choice and furthermore examine the inclinations of clients while making decision about insurance policy investment. Different insurance-related factors have been examined in the paper. Also, the said study has been conducted to know the satisfaction level of the clients and also to know the benefit they have been receiving from the company (if any). The information for the research has been gathered from primary data. The study zone is restricted to Maharashtra state and the test sample is 30 investors. The hypotheses have been based on the basis of demographic and the factors related to the insurance-based preference.factors and tested the same with the help of statistical tool T-test. The analyzed data had been produced in the form of a tables and graphs/charts. Insurance agencies should spread more awareness about life insurance, a decrease in the premium amount, and giving more attention to need-based innovative products are a portion of the recommendations which I would suggest. The paper closes with the segment that factors of the individuals play a significant and essential role in choosing the purchase of insurance policies.
